What is L-Cysteine?

L-cysteine is an amino acid produced naturally in small quantities by the body and directly contributes to the production of glutathione, an important antioxidant. Though the body naturally produces L-cysteine, you can still supplement with it from a product called N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC).1,2
