What is Tansy?

Tansy is the Tanacetum Vulgare plant, a perennial flowering herb that produces yellow blooms. Native to Europe, tansy now grows throughout North America and Asia. Tansy was used in folk medicine by the Greeks and Romans as a versatile remedy.1

Tansy Health Uses and Health Benefits

Tansy is used as an anti-parasitic treatment to prevent and eliminate intestinal worms and other microbial infections. It has also been traditionally used to help alleviate fever caused by various infections and ailments. Tansy also has been used as an antispasmodic for epileptic seizures and an analgesic for muscle cramps and headaches. It can also be made into a poultice to help alleviate swelling from skin infections.1,2
