What is Jamun?

Jamun is the Syzygium cumin plant, also known as jambolan or black plum. A tropical tree native to Southeast Asia and China, jamun produces edible black plum fruits that have a sour and sweet taste.1

Jamun plums have been used in traditional Chinese herbal medicine for their high antioxidant content.
